SHIFTY was filmed in 2000 & was written by Mandie Messenger who was PRODUCER & DIRECTOR. We had 2 EXECUTIVE PRODUCERs providing budget but 2 days before rolling camera one pulled out, along with half the budget. Cullen Black was ASSOC. PRODUCER, Colin Larsen DIRECTOR of PHOTOGRAPHY - when you're on a good thing stick with it! We had to decide whether to go ahead since we had all the equipment, props, actors etc. booked or scrap everything & wait for additional funds!

This is a complex story intended as a pilot for a television series - the pitch was have an accompanying website where the viewers vote what they want to happen with each character!

STORY OUTLINE

Terry & the Punks have pulled a robbery & decide to find someplace unlikely to hide. The girls are trying to cheer Lexy up after splitting up with her man & go out for drinks. Sam is looking for information on his children who were recently kidnapped. They all meet at the mysterious Madam Zeldas seance room where supernatural forces change their lives, linking them together.

As yet this is still unreleased as editing has just begun after a delay due to Mandie having cancer for 3 years as well as funding problems & the fact that the concept was used by "Fat Cow Motel" so it is not new now!

We still intend to market it in film festivals.
