- What’s
it all about?
- We decided to team up with freelancers
& other small production associated companies & get as much
done as we could without funding to prove we have the necessary skills
to conduct & expand a production business. Previously we operated
as Straight Entertainment - a small business, but
due to international expansion we had to change our name so as not
to be confused with American Events Management team. We came up with
ScreenQuest as
it describes our ambition - so here we are!
The
Last Year
During the previous year we wrote, produced & directed a short film
Even Odds with the help
of Llew Cleaver (ex-SBS/ABC head of production) from
SPEARHEAD/SURREAL
PRODUCTIONS, which was entered in the Tropfest
Film Festival. We also created a web site (this is the
3rd) as well as having crew (1st AD, Production Manager & Runner)
on an independent feature film distributed in the USA.
We have developed an extensive
SLATE - a list of projects
we currently have on offer for investment consideration. Our distributors
are awaiting product so we intend to secure private funding to provide
the resources required for additional production & a presentation
has been prepared for potential investors! AVAILABLE

ScreenQuest
was created by Mandie Messenger & Mike
Kent as a small business for independent film makers
to come together for the common goal of producing quality
(affordable) short films. Allowing creative freedom for the
motion picture veteran to explore & expand their screen
skills as well as providing "on set" experience
for those new to our industry. |
